Books
You can borrow the textbooks you need in order to learn Danish from the language school. You cannot write in the books you borrow as you will pass them on to other students after you have finished using them.
If you wish to write in your textbook, which can be very convenient, you can buy the book from the school.
You can purchase the book by bringing it to the reception or the library during office hours at VSK Glostrup, Ballerup or Amager. The book will then get a stamp indicating that it belongs to you.
You can pay with MobilePay
Study centers
Although students at VSKdansk have more Danish lessons than students at most other language schools, it is sometimes not enough. For this reason, we have study centers at all our language schools.
Every student goes through their own learning process. Some might struggle with pronouncing vowels while others can find it difficult to determine the syntax of a sentence. In the study center, you can focus on whatever you find difficult. Well-trained teachers will help you progress, find additional material for you, or help you with your homework. You can also meet with other students in a study group.
Volunteers
Yes, diplomas are important, but no one should learn a language just to keep a diploma in their drawer. Having conversations with someone who has taken part of Danish society and culture for long, makes all the difference. At VSKdansk, we are lucky to have skilled, committed people volunteering to help in the study centers. They come on a regular basis and speak Danish with our students. Students often tell us that talking with the volunteers make all the hard work become worth the effort. Often conversations about language and module tests turns into friendships. That is why we highly value working with volunteers. The volunteers contribute to our community with knowledge, drive and commitment. In our work with volunteers, we collaborate with the Danish Refugee Council.
Network
In our experience, many students mention networking as an important reason to study at VSKdansk. Meeting other people that are also new to Denmark while sharing experiences and expectations often works as a game changer. New possibilities become visible. Sharing is worth gold.
